There will be three races on each night with the first race starting at 5.30PM which is the children’s race which is then followed by the second race at 5.45pm which is the competitive race and the third race starts at 6.15PM which is the fun run.

The Competitive Race is an Athletics NZ sanctioned event. It costs $5 to run in each week’s event, plus there is a one-off $10 sanctioned fee that covers all of the five races in the series. Athletes who are registered athletes are exempt the sanctioned fee as this is covered by their registration. The Fun Run also costs $5 to run in each week’s event, but there is no additional $10 sanctioned fee. Entries and payments can be made online for either of the 5K races, or entries and payment can be made on the day.

Every competitor for a 5K race must complete an entry form – whether they have entered online or not – and take it to the registration tent.
