SUMMARY:Canterbury Road Relay - 2025
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the ultimate road relay race – a chance for teams to compete against others on a course suitable for all runners. \nU/20 and older \n\n\nIf you are in the age group U18 and above\, the ticket is $12. \n\n\n​ \nU/16 \n\n\nThe ticket for this age group is $7. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCourse Details\n\n\nLocation: \n​ \n\n\nEntry via gate just before Bottle Lake Forest Park Headquarters. Follow signs from Burwood Road. Park in the grass paddock. \n\n\nLap: \n​ \n\n\nEvery athlete completes the same approximately 5.2km lap \n\n\n​ \nCourse: \n​ \n\n\nStarting on Landfill Avenue the course goes anticlockwise over the middle hill near the beach\, before returning down Landfill Avenue. \n\n\nThe lap starts with 1.75km of sealed road\, then has 1.5km of unsealed road and walking track including one steep uphill climb of approximately 400m\, a flat section over the top and a gentle to moderate downhill. It finishes with 1.75km of sealed road \n\n\nRunners must be on the left side of the road all the way until channeled onto the right to exchange baton or finish. \n\n\nFinishing runners will cross the finish line and then hand their baton to their outgoing runner. \n\n\n​ \nOther: \n​ \n\n\nTeam tents should be erected on the right-hand side of the road towards the beach from the start/finish line so teams can support their competing runner. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRace Timetable & Grades\n\n\n\n\nAll Teams start at 9am \n\n\nLaps: Under 20 and older – 6 laps\, \n\n\nUnder 16 – 4 laps \n\n\nGrades: \n\n\nSM\, SW\, Combined A (at least 3 females) \n\n\nMM 35+\, MW 35+\, Masters 35+ Combined (at least 3 females) \n\n\nMM 50+\, MW 50+\, Masters 50+ Combined (at least 3 females) \n\n\nU/20M\, U/20W\, U/20 Combined (at least 3 females) \n\n\nU/16B\, U/16G\, U/16 Combined (at least 2 females) – Athletes must be 13 years or older on the 31st of December 2025 \n\nAll team members first to talk to James before purchasing a ticket.\n\n​ \nMedals \n​ \n\n\nFirst\, second and third in each grade will get medals.
