SUMMARY:Night 5k Road Champs 2025
DESCRIPTION:Fast and furious – this run on the roads under lights is a race sure to provide excitement. We look forward to seeing both kids and adults in attendance this year and remember\, as it gets dark just after 6pm\, headtorches are compulsory. \nU18 is $7 and Over 18 is $12. Late entries on the day will be accepted at the venue and will be $10 for U18 and $20 for Over 18. \n\nCourse Details\n\n\nLocation: Bottle Lake Road \n​ \n\n\nEntry via end of Landfill Avenue\, not Bottle Lake Forest Park Headquarters. \n\n\nFollow signs from Burwood Road. Park before the weighbridge. \n\n\n​ \n​There will be two races -the U14 grades will set off first and run either 2 or 3k depending on age.  Laps are 1k in length. This is a non-championship event. \n​ \nOur U16 and above runners (minimum age 14 on 31st December 2025\, will then head out for their 5 k event.  \n​ \nMedals will be awarded for the Grades: U16\, U/18\, Senior\, Open\, Masters 35-49\, Masters 50-64\, Masters Women 65 plus\, Masters Men 65-79\, Masters Men 80 plus \n​ \n\nEntries Close: Monday 8th September 5pm

SUMMARY:Canterbury Road Relay - 2025
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the ultimate road relay race – a chance for teams to compete against others on a course suitable for all runners. \nU/20 and older \n\n\nIf you are in the age group U18 and above\, the ticket is $12. \n\n\n​ \nU/16 \n\n\nThe ticket for this age group is $7. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCourse Details\n\n\nLocation: \n​ \n\n\nEntry via gate just before Bottle Lake Forest Park Headquarters. Follow signs from Burwood Road. Park in the grass paddock. \n\n\nLap: \n​ \n\n\nEvery athlete completes the same approximately 5.2km lap \n\n\n​ \nCourse: \n​ \n\n\nStarting on Landfill Avenue the course goes anticlockwise over the middle hill near the beach\, before returning down Landfill Avenue. \n\n\nThe lap starts with 1.75km of sealed road\, then has 1.5km of unsealed road and walking track including one steep uphill climb of approximately 400m\, a flat section over the top and a gentle to moderate downhill. It finishes with 1.75km of sealed road \n\n\nRunners must be on the left side of the road all the way until channeled onto the right to exchange baton or finish. \n\n\nFinishing runners will cross the finish line and then hand their baton to their outgoing runner. \n\n\n​ \nOther: \n​ \n\n\nTeam tents should be erected on the right-hand side of the road towards the beach from the start/finish line so teams can support their competing runner. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRace Timetable & Grades\n\n\n\n\nAll Teams start at 9am \n\n\nLaps: Under 20 and older – 6 laps\, \n\n\nUnder 16 – 4 laps \n\n\nGrades: \n\n\nSM\, SW\, Combined A (at least 3 females) \n\n\nMM 35+\, MW 35+\, Masters 35+ Combined (at least 3 females) \n\n\nMM 50+\, MW 50+\, Masters 50+ Combined (at least 3 females) \n\n\nU/20M\, U/20W\, U/20 Combined (at least 3 females) \n\n\nU/16B\, U/16G\, U/16 Combined (at least 2 females) – Athletes must be 13 years or older on the 31st of December 2025 \n\nAll team members first to talk to James before purchasing a ticket.\n\n​ \nMedals \n​ \n\n\nFirst\, second and third in each grade will get medals. SUMMARY:Daniel Reese Memorial Relays - 2026
DESCRIPTION:General DetailsThis is the first event on the calendar for this year is very different in which there is an individual event for both the U16 and U18 and over races as well as the relay. You can enter both the individual race and also do the relay for the one price or you could do just the individual race or do just the relay all for just the same price. To enter this event you just needed to be registered last season or registered for this season or if not a member you can still enter through the club but will be listed as a Community Runner and will have to pay an extra $3 to do the races. The fee for registered runners is $7 for those in the U16 races or $12 for those in the U18 and over races. There is also a walking relay for both the U16 and U18 and over grades and this will be in teams of two doing 2km each and the cost is $7 for U16 and $12 for U18 and over. Entries close Monday 20 April at 5pm so that I have time to arrange teams before entering them later on in the day.

SUMMARY:Bottle Lake Hill Assault Saturday May 9th
DESCRIPTION:Bottle Lake Hill Assault is a new event where the Under 16 do only a relay and Under 18 and over can do the 4k individual and the relay or just the relay or just the 4k. The prices are still the same U18 $7 and $12 for the rest. The details are as follows\, \n\n\nAdult 4k race (2 loops of the course) – this is the Challenge series event \n\n\nAdult Relay – 6 loops of the course (between one and six athletes in a team; Athletes can run laps in any order. List running order and lap number on entry sheet) \n\n\nUnder 16 relay – 4 loops of the course (Between two and four athletes in a team. Athletes can run one or two laps (but not consecutively if doing two). List running order on entry sheet). Passport stamps can be collected as runners finish their lap. \n\nCommunity Runners who enter on the day only do the straight races for $10 for Under 16 or $20 for 16 and over.
