Port Hills is one of the largest athletics clubs in Canterbury with over 350 members.

The club caters for all-comers, whether you just want to get fit, wish to improve times and distances you have achieved at school, would like to get back to the sport you left behind years ago, or already excel as an athlete.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
If your child has already competed in Winter Cross Country & Trail please click the link below to register (Winter Upgrade)
We will be running through this at our information afternoon on Sunday 8th October, if you are unsure we would recommend you wait until then to register. We will have plenty of people able to help you.
For those of you who have gone ahead and registered with Port Hills Athletics Club by either option above, the next step, for any athletes who wish to compete on Saturdays, is to register with Canterbury Childrens Athletics and pay the $55.00 registration fee.

Testimonials

The Port Hills Athletic club is a family focused club that caters for a range of abilities which appealed to me when I was looking at joining a club. I am a middle aged, middle of the pack female runner who thought clubs were only for gun runners. I was wrong and have found there are runs for all ages and all abilities. I have made firm friends and enjoyed many runs in the 4 years I have been a club member. My running has improved and I enjoy it more as I am running with others rather than by myself. There are also opportunities to be involved in the club’s operations by becoming a committee member. Thanks to the club and all its members for your company

My partner and I moved to Christchurch in winter 2018 and decided to join a running club to help us get to know people. We’re so glad we chose the Port Hills club. The members are really friendly and welcoming and they cater for all abilities. There’s a good variety of training sessions available throughout the week and the social runs have really helped us make new friends and feel at home here. If you’re looking for a running club I can definitely recommend this one!
