U16 is $7, and Under 18 and over is $12. Late entries on the day will be accepted at the venue and will be $10 for U16 and $20 for Under 18 and over. • Whanau Entry Fee: $12 U18 and older; $7 for Under 16 and younger
• Community Entry Fee: $20 U/18 and older; $10 for Under 16 and younger.
Course:
• The course lap is approximately 1.617km of mainly sealed asphalt, with a small 10m section of grass.
• It will be dark by the time the first race starts, so extra care and respect for other park users is required.
Athletes are advised to wear a head torch if they have one.
• There will be six marshals and several Referees stationed around the course for the first two races to
guide young athletes. Parents are welcome to jog with their child if they wish to.
Medals:
• Canterbury 5k Road Championship medals will be presented straight after the 5k race finishes to the
first three in each male and female in each grade: Open, U/16, U/18, U/20, Senior, M35-49, M50-64,
M65+
