This championship race serves to identify the local champions, as well as acting as the selection race for the National Champs. It is the pinnacle race for the Cross Country season.

The race is open to all competitors, but those wishing to be considered for selection to the Canterbury team to compete at the National Cross Country Championships will need to be an Athletics NZ registered member.

For those aged under 16 as of 31/12/2026 it will cost $7 and for those 16 and over it will cost $12

If you want to run as a Community Runner for those aged U16 as of 31/12/2026 it will cost $10 and for those 16 and over it will cost $20
